Praxis Fiber Workshop Emerging Artist Fellowship

Praxis Fiber Workshop Emerging Artist Fellowship is offered to a recent graduates from universities in Northeast Ohio who have shown dedication to building a long-term studio practice. This fellowship is for an artist that would like to fully immerse themselves in fiber techniques and processes, and have had at least minimal exposure or training in the following: weaving, dyeing, sewing, or felting. During the 6-8 month fellowship term, the Fellow will have 24/7 access to Praxis Fiber Workshop’s facilities, equipment, and supplies, as well as a locker for storage. Fellows receive tuition-free enrollment in classes and workshops, and are expected to take at least three. The fellowship culminates in a one month solo exhibition at the close of the term in August.

Application materials must be compiled into a single PDF document, no larger than 5 MB. The document must be titled with first & last name, ie. JESSICA_PINSKY.PDF. Applications must include:

  • 10 images of recent work
  • Image list with the following: Title, date, size, medium, and a brief content description if
    needed
  • Artist statement including WHY you are a match for this position
  • Resume/CV

We are currently accepting applications for 2020-2021. Application deadline is August 15, 2020, at 11:59PM EST.
