Praxis Fiber Workshop Emerging Artist Fellowship
Praxis Fiber Workshop Emerging Artist Fellowship is offered to a recent BFA or MFA graduate student from a northeast Ohio university. This fellowship is for an artist that would like to fully immerse themselves in fiber techniques and processes, and have had at least minimal exposure or training in the following; weaving, dyeing, sewing, felting. During your 6-8 months as a Praxis Fellow, you will have 24/7 access to the shop, equipment, supplies, and locker for storage. We require all fellows to take 3 classes or workshops during their 6-8 month residency from which to develop a body of new work. The Praxis Fellow will exhibit this body of work during a one month solo exhibition in August that year.
Application materials must be compiled into a single PDF document, no larger than 5 MB. The document must be titled with your first & last name. Applications must include:
- 10 images of recent work
- Image list with the following: Title, date, size, medium, and a brief content description if
- Artist statement including WHY you are a match for this position
